2023 Accomplishments

  • Thanks to the generosity of families with children adopted from the Bengbu Social Welfare Institute in China, Packages of Hope was able to host a New Year party for the children in the orphanage and provide new winter clothing.

2022 Accomplishments

  • Thanks to the families with children adopted from the Bengbu Social Welfare Institute in China, Packages of Hope was able to host a New Year party for the children in the orphanage, complete with a trip to the movies and buffet dinner. New winter coats and clothing were also provided.

2021 Accomplishments

  • Packages of Hope hosted a New Year party and provided red envelope gifts to 80 children living in the Bengbu Social Welfare Institute in China.
  • Thanks to the donations from families with children adopted from the Changde Social Welfare Institute in China, we were able to help provide new sets of winter clothing for 97 children living in the Changde orphanage.

2020 Accomplishments

  • No aid was provided due to COVID restrictions.

2019 Accomplishments

  • Packages of Hope provided new coats, shoes, long johns, sweaters, and shoes to children living in the Bengbu Social Welfare Institute in China and hosted a New Year Celebration. Thank you for the adoptive families for making this possible!
  • Vitamins, diapers, and toys were provided to children living in foster care in The Republic of Georgia.
  • Thanks to the support from ChangDe adoptive families, 24 walkers and 6 wheelchairs were provided for children living in the Changde Social Welfare Institute in China.

2018 Accomplishments

  • New coats, shoes, long underwear, and a wheelchair were provided for the children living in the Bengbu Social Welfare Institute in China.
  • Formula, diapers, vitamins, and OTC medicine were provided for the Tbilisi home in The Republic of Georgia.
  • Packages of Hope contributed to the cost of diapers and educational funding for children living in The Dream Home in ShenYang, China.

2017 Accomplishments

  • Spring Festival donations were provided for the children living in the Bengbu Social Welfare Institute in China, including new clothing, costumes and decorations for the holiday party.
  • Formula, diapers, and OTC medicine were provided for the Tbilisi home in The Republic of Georgia.
    Packages of hope contributed to the cost of diapers and educational funding for children living in The Dream Home in ShenYang, China.

2016 Accomplishments

  • Spring Festival donations were provided for the children living in the Bengbu Social Welfare Institute in China, including new clothing, costumes and decorations for the holiday party.
  • Hearing aids were provided for a boy living in the Bengbu Social Welfare Institute in China.
  • Listening devices (3) were provided for three blind children living in the Bengbu Social Welfare Institute in China.

2015 Accomplishments

  • Spring Festival donations were provided for the children living in the Bengbu Social Welfare Institute in China, including new clothing, costumes, and decorations for the festival.
  • Three respirators and diapers were provided for children living in the Tbilisi home in The Republic of Georgia.
  • Funds were provided for continued medical care for “Jill,” a burn child from China, now residing in a foster home in Australia.
  • Jeff Kircik, Chairman and China Project Manager, visited the Bengbu Social Welfare Institute in China and provided winter clothing, quilts, shoes, and jackets for the children.
  • Formula, diapers, and medicine were provided for the children in the Tbilisi home in The Republic of Georgia.

2014 Accomplishments

  • Spring Festival donations were provided for the children living in the Bengbu Social Welfare Institute in China, where new clothing, costumes, and decorations for the party, and gift money in red envelopes were provided for the children.
  • In partnership with Lotus Travel, funding was provided to hire a caretaker for a disabled boy from Wuzhou to attend school. “Wade” is now able to attend school for the first time in his life with the help of his caretaker. He’s a fantastic artist!
  • Bunk beds, a TV, diapers, and a washing machine were provided for the Tbilisi home in The Republic of Georgia.
  • Therapy equipment, including a physical therapy chair, balance board, and mirror were provided for the Bengbu Social Welfare Institute in China.

2013 Accomplishments

  • A water heater, washing machine, 2 dryers, 2 electric cookers, winter clothing, and shoes were provided for the children in the ChangDe Social Welfare Institute, China.
  • New clothing was provided for all the children living in the Bengbu Social Welfare Institute in China in celebration of the Spring Festival.
    Handwritten letters were delivered to children in the ChangDe Social Welfare Institute in China written from students in Canton, Oklahoma.
  • Jeff Kircik, Chairman and China Project Manager, visited the Bengbu Social Welfare Institute in China and the ChangDe Social Welfare Institute in China to deliver goods and assess future needs.

2012 Accomplishments

  • New clothing, toys, and treats were provided for the children in the Bengbu Social Welfare Institute, China.
  • Food and diapers were provided for The Baby House located in Tbilisi, The Republic of Georgia
  • Physical therapy was provided for the foster children from the The Baby House located in Tbilisi, The Republic of Georgia.

2011 Accomplishments

  • New clothing and formula were provided for children in the QianJiang Social Welfare Institute, China.
  • Blankets and clothing were provided for children in the Verbist Care Center, Mongolia.
  • New clothing, toys, and treats were provided for the children in the Bengbu Social Welfare Institute, China.
  • Quilts and toys were provided for children in the ShenYang Social Welfare Institute, China.
  • Funds were provided for the “Hugging Grannies” care program in the Jian Social Welfare Institute, China, in partnership with Altrusa Foundation.
  • Diapers provided for The Baby House located in Tbilisi, The Republic of Georgia.
  • Funds were provided for a hired caretaker at Siping Social Welfare Institute, China.
  • Bunk beds and bedding were provided for boys living in ShenYang Social Welfare Institute, China.
  • 6 sets of washer/dryer units were provided for the QianJiang Social Welfare Institute, China.
  • Packages of Hope helped sponsor two children with club feet from the Bengbu Social Welfare Institute, China, through Orphan’s Wish.
  • Funding for vocational training for a teen in Haiti was provided through USFCH.
  • Funding for an on-site school at ChangDe Social Welfare Institute was provided through Love Without Boundaries.

2010 Accomplishments

  • Storage shelving was provided for the Bengbu Social Welfare Institute, China.
  • A medical team was sent to Holholt, Mongolia to provide health assessments.
  • Funding was provided to hire a caretaker at the Siping Social Welfare Institute, China.
  • Funding was provided to Altrusa for foster care for a child from Jiujiang, China.
  • Medical care, food, and clothing were provided for children in the Tbilisi Baby House in The Republic of Georgia.
  • Funding was provided to FCC Australia to cover the transportation and surgeries of “Jill,” a burn child from China.
  • Medical care and milk powder were provided for children in the QianJiang Social Welfare Institute, China.
  • Funding was provided to Amity Foundation for foster care sponsorship of 15 children from ChangDe Social Welfare Insitute and sponsorship of 4 Hugging Grannies.
  • An air conditioner, washing machine, humidifier, and 4 cassette players were provided to the Bengbu Social Welfare Institute in China.
  • Medical care was provided for a child with hydrocephalus from the QianJiang Social Welfare Institute, China.
  • Funding was provided to An Orphans Wish for club feet surgeries for children from the Bengbu Social Welfare Institute, China.

2009 Accomplishments

  • Winter clothing was provided for the Verbist Care Center in Mongolia.
  • Milk powder was provided for the children of QianJiang Social Welfare Institute, China.
  • Medical care was provided for children living in the Siping Social Welfare Institute, China.
  • Gifts for Chinese New Year were provided for children living in the Bengbu Social Welfare Institute, China.
  • Funding was provided for sponsorship of orphans attending the Siping School for the Deaf, China.
  • A hired caretaker was funded at Siping Social Welfare Institute, China.
  • Medical care and formula were provided for orphans in The Republic of Georgia.
  • Four heat/air units were provided for the QianJiang Social Welfare Institute, China.
  • New bedding and a microwave were provided for the Bengbu Social Welfare Institute, China.

  • Baby care items were provided to an orphanage in Uganda through Watoto.
  • Blankets and onesies were provided for the Jian Social Welfare Institute, China.

2008 Accomplishments

  • 76 sets of new winter clothing and milk powder were provided for the children of QianJiang Social Welfare Institute in China.
  • 54 bottles of infant vitamins were provided to the Philip Hayden Foundation in China.
  • $5,000 medical grant was provided for “Emily,” a child with Thalassmia, being adopted through WACAP.
  • 17 boxes filled with winter clothing and supplies sent to the ChangDe Social Welfare Institute in China.
  • A new washing machine and digital camera were provided for the Fengxin Social Welfare Institute in China.
  • Indoor play and therapy equipment were provided for the Jinzhou Social Welfare Institute in China.
  • Two electric scooters were given to two children residing in the Bengbu Social Welfare Institute in China.
  • Funding for medical care for “Emily” was provided for her care through the Philip Hayden Foundation.
  • Financial sponsorship was provided for three orphans attending the Siping School for the Deaf.
  • Funding was provided for a hired caretaker at Siping Social Welfare Institute in China.
  • In partnership with Amity, foster care was provided for 15 children, and funding for four “Hugging Grannies” for the ChangDe Social Welfare Institute, China.

  • Through Altrusa, foster care funding was provided for 3 children from the Jian Social Welfare Institute, China.
  • 60 new mattresses were provided for the Bengbu Social Welfare Institute in China.
  • 5 new air conditioning units provided for the Bengbu Social Welfare Institute in China.
  • New clothing was provided for children living in the Bengbu Social Welfare Institute in China.
  • New winter clothing was provided for children living in the QianJiang Social Welfare Institute in China.
  • Visiting volunteer teams provided additional care to children living in the Bengbu, Jinzhou, and orphanages in the XinJiang province, China.
  • Foster care funding was provided for orphans in The Republic of Georgia.
  • Food, clothing, bottles, and medical care were provided for orphans in The Republic of Georgia.
  • Packages of Hope assisted in the coordination of foster care for Baby Hannah from QiangJiang orphanage, China.

  • Two caretakers were hired in the Gansu province, China.
  • Monthly supplemental milk powder and fresh fruit were provided for the Bengbu Social Welfare Institute in China.
  • Volunteer assessments were made at six facilities in China.
  • A dish sanitizer was provided for the Siping Social Welfare Institute in China.
  • Spinabifida surgery was funded for a child from the Siping Social Welfare Institute in China.
  • A computer lab was installed with 6 Dell PC’s for the Bengbu Social Welfare Institute, China.
  • Funding was provided for a tumor removal for a child with spinabifida from QianJiang Social Welfare Institute, China.
  • New shoes were provided for children in the Qianjiang Social Welfare Institute, China.
  • A stainless steel kitchen countertop was provided for the Siping Social Welfare Institute in China.
  • A new incubator was provided for the Lanzhou Social Welfare Institute, China.
  • Foster care, nanny training, and orphanage improvements in Guiping were funded in partnership with Red Thread Charities.
  • Winter blankets were provided for children living in the Yujiang Social Welfare Institute, China.
  • Winter clothing was provided for the Bengbu Social Welfare Institute.
  • Hundreds of hats, sunglasses, and toys were delivered to six orphanages in Africa.
  • An outdoor playground and indoor therapy room were installed in the Mengzi Social Welfare Institute in China.
  • Rocking horses were provided for the Beihai Social Welfare Institute, China.
  • Funding was provided for medical care for “Emily,” being cared for at Philip Hayden Foundation.
  • A Library of Hope was established at the Xian’an Social Welfare Institute in China, including bookshelves and children’s books.
  • An outdoor playground was installed, as well as pedal cars and rocking horses, for the children living in the Bengbu Social Welfare Institute in China.
  • Indoor therapy equipment was provided for the ShenYang Social Welfare Institute in China.
  • A new hot water heater was installed in the Chifeng Social Welfare Institute in China.
  • An iron security fence was funded for Hannah’s House in China.

  • Libraries of Hope (book shelves and books) were provided to orphanages throughout China: Suzhou Social Welfare Institute, Beihai Social Welfare Institute, ShenYang Social Welfare Institute, Kaiyuan Social Welfare Institute, Lanzhou Social Welfare Institute, ChangDe Social Welfare Institute, Siping Social Welfare Institute, Changchun Social Welfare Institute, LianChuan Social Welfare Institute, and Jinzhou Social Welfare Institute.
  • 25 baby bouncy seats were provided for the ChengDu Social Welfare Institute, China.
  • A hot water heater was provided for the Siping Social Welfare Institute, China.
  • A new copy machine (to aid with copying adoption documents) was provided to the QianJiang Social Welfare Institute, China.
  • Rocking horses, walkers, and musical instruments were provided for the Bengbu Social Welfare Institute, China.
  • Funding was provided to hire two caretakers in Gansu province, China.
  • Funding was provided for a special education teacher (funded for one year) at the ShenYang Social Welfare Institute, China.
  • A new washing machine was provided for the Yanbian Social Welfare Institute, China.
  • 80 new beds were provided for the Bengbu Social Welfare Institute, China.
  • A new outdoor playground was installed at the LinChuan Social Welfare Institute, China.
  • New clothing and quilts for 100 children were provided to the QianJiang Social Welfare Institute, China.

  • Volunteer assessments were made in four provinces in China in October 2005.
  • 7 new washing machines provided for the ChengDu Social Welfare Institute, China.
  • 166 tubes of ringworm cream were provided for Holly House, Africa.
  • Funding for 5 new cribs provided for Seeds of Love orphanage, Guatemala.
  • Funding provided for the Foster Care Program for children with Hepatitis B in ChangDe Social Welfare Institute, China.
  • 8 needed surgeries provided in orphanages within China.
  • 50 backpacks and school supplies were delivered to children living at the Holly House orphanage in Nairobi, Africa.
  • Funding provided for two caretakers in Gansu province.

2004 Accomplishments

  • A total of five new outdoor playgrounds were installed at orphanages in China: Jinzhou Social Welfare Institute, Jian Social Welfare Institute, YongFeng Social Welfare Institute, Beihai Social Welfare Institute, and ChangDe Social Welfare Institute.
  • Packages of Hope volunteers visited the Jinzhou Social Welfare Institute in March 2004 where they oversaw the installation of the new outdoor playground and took the children on a field trip to the park.
  • Tulsa, Oklahoma student volunteers visited the Beihai Social Welfare Institute in November 2004 to play and interact with the children.
    Thousands of needed supplies provided to the Jinzhou Social Welfare Institute, ShenYang Social Welfare Institute, Suzhou Social Welfare Institute, Beihai Social Welfare Institute, and JiuJang Social Welfare Institute in China; and the Holly House Home in Africa and a children’s home in Peru.
  • Five dental surgeries were provided to children living in orphanages in Peru.
  • Funding was provided for the cleft palate repair for a young boy in Jinzhou Social Welfare Institute, China.
  • 8 new cribs with bedding and crib toys were provided for children living in the Jinzhou Social Welfare Institute, China.
  • New washing machines were provided for the Chengdu Social Welfare Institute, China.

2003 Accomplishments

  • 9 boxes of donated supplies delivered to the Jinzhou Social Welfare Institute, China.
  • Mosquito netting provided for over the cribs of children living in the Jinzhou Social Welfare Institute, China.
  • 80 backpacks with gifts delivered to orphans living in the Othandwendi Children’s Home in South Africa.
